The new Marquis Supergrip is the result of successfully blending equestrian veterinary science and biomechanics.

A new technique (computer kinematography) was used in clinical studies to analyse the gliding and stopping characteristics of a horse's leg when wearing iron horseshoes, Marquis Supergrip, and when bare foot. Using the results of this research, a synthetic sole was developed, which equals the gliding and stopping features of the bare hoof on hard ground - greatly reducing the risk of injury.

Extensive measurements

The data gained through these measurements are the basis for the continuous improvement and development of Marquis Supergrip. The insights gained from analysing vast quantities of data make it clear that as well as the performance and cost advantages, Marquis Supergrip is also the healthy option for your horse.

The Marquis Supergrip enables the best of both worlds: A bare foot horse, as close as possible to its natural state yet the best possible protection and grip when required.

The graphics on the left-hand side illustrate the differences between the bare foot, Marquis Supergrip and iron shoes.
